The former Get Ready For Work trainees will study at several Lanarkshire and Glasgow colleges, undertaking courses ranging from Photography to Assisted Learning Needs.
Aftercare staff will visit the students on site at their places of learning - including Motherwell College, South Lanarkshire College, Coatbridge College, Cumbernauld College, Langside College, Glasgow Metropolitan College and the Central College of Commerce - to monitor their progress and provide advice or assistance.
Eileen McLean, one of the Aftercare mentors, commented:
" We are delighted that so many of our clients are moving into further education on such a wide range of courses.
Several of them are taking NCs or NQs and we also have one who is taking an HNC in Assisted Learning Needs at Langside College in Glasgow.
At South Lanarkshire College, the clients are mainly young women studying health and beauty or childcare, whereas in Coatbridge, it's mainly young men working on a construction course. There's also a student at the Metropolitan College studying photography.
For all of these young people, the chance to work towards qualifications is vital for their long-term employment prospects."
