Motivational and Confidence Building Course
Funded by: South Lanarkshire Council
Aimed at: Individuals who have been overcoming personal barriers and are ready to move on in their life. Each individual will have identified a chosen outcome and require additional support to achieve it. Clients are referred to Employment Enterprise from a variety of agencies and any potential barriers are removed, such as childcare and transport, to enable clients to attend the course and move on in their lives.
How it works: The MOU course lasts for three weeks and takes place from 10am until 2pm, Monday to Thursday and is held in the University of West Scotland, Hamilton. The course also includes three weeks aftercare support for clients.
We aim to provide our clients with the skills that will help build their confidence and motivation. Clients will develop strategies for living a more positive life, develop clear goals and identify skills and strengths. On successful completion of the course, clients will gain a Certificate in Emergency First Aid and Steps to Excellence as well as a certificate for completing of the Move On Up course.
